We all had a blast in Cedar Rapids in 2017 at the 70th Annual IJA Festival, so we immediately made plans to return for the historic 75th Annual Festival in 2022. If you weren’t in Cedar Rapids in 2017, you missed an incredible, hassle-free week of excitement and fun in a beautiful, friendly, affordable host city. The 2022 IJA Festival will be even more epic, with so much planned for this historic week-long event.
Downtown Cedar Rapids is an ideal setting for the IJA festival. It’s loaded with fun, eclectic, casual places to eat, drink and shop. All Festival venues are conveniently located in the compact and friendly downtown center. Cedar Rapids is easy to get to, as well — it’s just one hop away from whole world via Eastern Iowa Airport. Everyone you know will be there, so come join all the fun in a great American city when we celebrate 75 years of The International Jugglers’ Association!

Things to look forward to:
Festival Site: the beautiful, modern $144-million DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Center Complex is the hub of the festival, with the IJA gym (open 24/7 from 10am Monday to Noon Sunday!). Here are just some of the great spaces waiting for us inside the center, just steps from the lobby of the attached DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel:
- A huge 27,000-sq.ft. main juggling space, our gym for the week.
- 5,000-sq.ft. of adjacent workshop space in the Taft meeting rooms, next to the gym.
- Three more huge ballrooms right upstairs, ready to host many special festival week events.
- A gorgeous atrium lobby and pre-function area for XJuggling, Games of the IJA, and more.
Festival Theatre: The Paramount Theatre is a quick 5-minute walk from the DoubleTree and the The Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena.
A stunning, spectacularly beautiful historic live performance theatre, recently restored to its original 1920’s glory. The beauty of the Paramount brought tears to the eyes of many an IJA performer in 2017, and it is only more breathtaking today as it enters its second century as the home of the performing arts in Cedar Rapids. No theater in America could be a more awe-inspiring venue for a week of juggling joy and thrills for the 75th Annual IJA festival.
The Paramount will be our venue for four nights of world-class juggling and variety shows and IJA Championships that are the unforgettable highlights of every IJA festival.
Festival Hotel: Offering very affordable IJA festival rates for up to four people in a room!
The DoubleTree by Hilton Convention Center Complex is a beautiful, modern, high-rise boutique hotel located in the same building as our juggling space and Club Renegade venues.
